As has already been stated, before Cyrus could overcome the two-leaved gate and the gate of brass, two whole years had expired. Much human blood was shed. There are some gates that men would rather die than surrender them. What is true in the physical is also true in the spiritual. Think about the first gate of your life, the cervix of your mother’s womb. Before that gate could give way, blood gushed out. In fact, it is impossible for that gate to open without the shedding of blood. If the opening of the first gate of your life required the shedding of blood before it could open, it is simply a pointer to the fact that there are certain gates in men’s lives that will not open except blood is shed.

Mordecai stopped outside the king’s gate. He could not enter. Esther 4v1 & 2. Why? That gate was being manned by a strong man called Haman. The day Haman died, Mordecai entered the palace gates. The vesture and position of the second in command to the king were all given to him. One may not even pray for people to die. You may only pray for your closed gates to open, only to discover that in the process some people die. Our battle is not with flesh and blood. It is with spirit beings. But spirit beings are not very effective, until they can enter a human being.

And in this world, there are certain men that are in such league with the devil that the only way to deal with them is for them to be eliminated. Do you know that before the gate of Egypt could open, permitting the release of three million Jews, it cost blood? Pharaoh stood as the gatekeeper over Egypt’s gate. When God slew the firstborn of every Egyptian, including Pharaoh’s, the gate of Egypt broke open. That was the gate that refused to open, despite all the plagues that Moses brought upon Pharaoh by the hand of the Lord. But when blood was shed, especially the blood of his own son, that gate opened in record-breaking time.Beloved, there are some gates that will not open until blood is shed. To this end, three things have been given us.

The Backing Of God’s Word
Did God not promise Abraham that his posterity would possess the gates of their enemies? As Abraham’s spiritual seed, this right has been given to us. It is our mandate. “Thy seed shall posses the gate of his enemies” Genesis 22 v 17. This was not just a one-off promise because when Rebecca was to marry Isaac, her brethren empowered her with the same blessing.

“And they blessed Rebecca, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands and millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them”. Genesis 24 v 60. The same promise comes up again in Psalm 127 v 5.

The Spirit Of Judgment
“In that day shall the Lord of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of the people, AND FOR A SPIRIT OF JUDGMENT to him that sitteth in Judgment, AND FOR STRENGTH TO THEM THAT TURN THE BATTLE TO THE GATE” – Isaiah 28 v 5 & 6

The Bible says, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the hearts of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil”. – Ecclesiastes 8 v 11. Who are the people to execute these judgments? It is the saints of God: “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and the two-edged sword be in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their Kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them THE JUDGEMENT WRITTEN: this honour have all his saints.” – Psalm 149 v 5–9. Witches and wizards in particular do not respond to mercy and love, they respond to judgment. “Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness’. Isaiah 26 v 10. Of course, the power of life and death is in our mouths. Proverbs 18 v 21. The spirit of judgment is for them that shall turn the battle to the gates of their enemies.
Strength -Isaiah 28 v 6.

The moment you as a child of God make up your mind to take the battle right to the gates of your enemies, power from on high shall come upon you. When gates close against a man, his businesses, jobs and other things that would have made life enjoyable will close down. By the spirit of judgment, may every evil gatekeeper guarding the gate of your life be slain now.
