As the year draws near to its end, people who could not meet their desired expectation for the year become disappointed and disillusioned. Some who planned to do their wedding or move into a new house have their hope shattered, because they lost their jobs within the year, while some of them became sick and afflicted and have no more hope of recovery this year. Thus, there is always palpable tension dominating the minds of many people, whenever the year runs out. But amidst these challenges of needs, one thing we must hold on to is that God does not sleep nor slumber and no matter how many days remaining in a year, He can still turn around any ugly situation, because He never disappoints the needy that put their trust in Him.

Psalms 12: 5 says, “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.” Whatever troubles the needy makes the Almighty God uncomfortable, and He never hesitated to rise in their defence. When the people of the world rise to persecute and scoff at the needy, God is always at hand to show Himself as their defender. God has been championing the cause of the needy from creation till date.

Psalms 72:12-14 says, “For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.” God’s promise to the needy is that they shall have hope of His intervention at any given time and be satisfied in the time of need. All the needy, who are truly children of God, can attest to the effectual working of this promise. Our Lord Jesus Christ also came looking for the needy and those that are heavy laden. He invited the needy vis-à-vis sinners, labourers, those under the burden of poverty, health challenges, etc., to come and have respite.

Matt. 11:28-29 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

If you are in need, God is inviting you to come to Him for a refreshing hope. It is only in the Lord that the hopeless shall have real hope. So, if it seems there is no more hope for you this year, and you are far from the Lord, I want you to make haste and come to the Lord for His time to give hope to the needy has come. The Almighty God has determined to give hope this Month to as many as will come to Him, as He has promised, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19)

The present situation of hopelessness cannot scuttle the program of God for you this Month. God will work wonders in the life of people to demonstrate that He is the Almighty God and nothing is impossible for Him. There shall be great transformation as never experienced before, those that are deaf will be made to hear. Those that are impotent will by divine grace be made potent, and the dumb shall have their lips opened to show forth His praise.

Isaiah 35:5-6 says, “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert” If there is any area in your life you need God’s intervention, I want to assure you that you shall have it. It does not matter how bad your situation is, or how powerful the enemy that shattered your hope may be, one thing is sure, He has assured us of hope for our need and He will never disappoint us. If you can come to Him today, you shall have your need met in Jesus name.
