NIGERIANS have been urged to renew hope in the possible transformation of the country, with a note of caution that those who do not have faith in its anticipated rebirth may not partake of the same.

General Overseer, Glorious Divine Assembly Lagos, Pastor Ossy Michael Onyiaorah, made this known during the 10th anniversary of the church.

Onyiaorah attributed the challenges facing Nigeria to the pessimistic attitude its citizenry display. He assured that a great future awaited the country if only Nigerians believed.

“There are miracles in Nigeria, but they are only for those who have faith in the country. Most of the time, we do not have faith in the country yet we want to see it rise. You cannot expect one thing and see the opposite. Our mindset about the country has been so biased.

“We should not speak negative things about the country when we expect positive change. We blame everybody for our irresponsibility. We are responsible for the problems of Nigeria. Until we take the bull by the horns, pray for Nigeria, believe in her and desire change, nothing will happen.”

He was optimistic that God, who could raise the dead, could still raise Nigeria from its present mess, adding that there were many pleasures in Nigeria. This, he said was the reason nations who spread unpleasant stories about the country can’t stop coming to its shores. He said foreigners try to manipulate the minds of Nigerians so that they can take the advantage of tapping into its pleasures.

On God’s ability to use the present crop of leaders to change the country, he said he believed, “God can use an evil man to do good things for he makes evil for the day of evil.”

He expressed support for the activities of Save Nigeria Group (SNG), urging Nigerians to pray and work towards achieving a revolution.
