Bishop of the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, has called on members of the church to endeavour to build themselves as God’s temple, stressing that the best decision anyone could make is to surrender one’s life to Christ.

Bishop of the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, has called on members of the church to endeavour to build themselves as God’s temple, stressing that the best decision anyone could make is to surrender one’s life to Christ.

He said Christians must first and foremost build themselves before embarking on building physical structures, such as church auditorium for God. Bishop Obi added that to be a wise master builder, Christians must be careful how to build on the sure foundation, which is Jesus Christ.

The Bishop stated this penultimate Saturday, while dedicating a church building at Christ Anglican Church, Ngomkpu Okofia, Otolo, Nnewi.

Recalling his journey into priesthood ministry, Obi said he was actively involved in various church fellowships and organisations, as a born again child of God and enjoined Christians to love things of God and be actively committed in various church activities.

“Whatever work you find in the church, diligently do it for the Lord with all your strength. God rewards faithfulness and He will faithfully reward those who serve Him faithfully. Do not labour to be praised by people. If you want human praise, you can get it, but if you want God’s reward, then wait patiently,” he said.

Noting that many who served at Christ Anglican Church, Ngompku as workers, clergy, teachers and members laboured assiduously, Obi said they contributed in one way or the other, at various stages to get the church building to the stage of dedication.

An address presented by the dedication planning committee of Christ Anglican Church, Ngompku, Okofia, appreciated efforts of all church workers who served there, some philanthropists from the church, home/abroad, the laity and entire members.
