The Parish priest, Saints Michael, Raphael and Gabriel Catholic Church, Satellite Town, Rev. Fr. Francis Ezezue has urged Christians and Nigerians to always appreciate God’s goodness, and to constantly praise Him.

Speaking at the seventh edition of the Church’s Praise Storm in Lagos, which marked the end of a three-day programme, Fr. Ezezue charged every living soul to praise God for being alive, as only the living can praise God.He said: “We hold this programme to draw people closer to Christ through songs, worship and praise, as well as encourage our members.

“Since we began, parishioners, as well as artistes, have been coming up with testimonies of victory over their challenges.“Instead of fasting and prayer like other churches, we decided to be unique by devoting one week to appreciate God and tell Him He is awesome.”

Rev. Fr. Francis Adeola Adeyemi of Catholic Diocese, Akure and lecturer, Catholic Institute of West Africa, (CIWA), Port Harcourt, said as humans, “There is nothing we can give to God other than to praise Him. Nigerians should praise God for the peace in the land.”

The event featured nine artistes, including Steve Crown, Newton Sax, N-Simon and Mercy Chinwo, among others, who thrilled the audience with inspiriting songs.
