Confession of faith matters in a believer’s life, as it determines how far the individual can walk with the Lord in the journey of faith.

Confession of faith matters in a believer’s life, as it determines how far the individual can walk with the Lord in the journey of faith. The tongue is an essential organ that speaks volumes of faith. It is the tongue that confesses either faith or faithlessness. The tongue itself is a gateway where journey of faith begins. The way the mouth or tongue is used is very important in a man’s life. It is expected of a believer that a journey he begins in faith ends in faith and not otherwise.

Faith starts in exercising faith in the minutest issues of life. The faith that brought salvation to a believer is enough to give him whatever he demands. Salvation comes by believing that Jesus died to save sinners from sin. The exercise of faith in the name of Jesus, whom we have not seen with our eyes, brings about salvation. Similarly, if a believer can exercise the same faith that gave him salvation in other areas of life, nothing shall be impossible for him.

Faith comes by the word. It is the Word of God that brings faith to man. No man can exercise faith without having the Word of God in him. In fact, a believer must live by the Word. It is not enough to preach or know the Word by heart, when our actions contradict the word. Faith cannot work that way! Another dimension to exercising faith is not to look at things the way they appear, but rather consider what the Word of God says in that situation. Situations in life must not control our faith. A child of God must not live by what the scientists are saying, but by the Word of God.

A believer gives God a shock each time he confesses sickness. This is because the Lord does not see sickness in our lives, as Christ took our sicknesses and diseases away at Calvary. Therefore, we are always considered healthy in the sight of God. On the other hand, it is a taboo for a Christian to accept poverty or confess lack of finances because silver and gold belong to God. He owns everything; and we are His children. Whatever God has, belongs to us as children. Confession attracts possession.

Obviously, barrenness is not for a child of God. The Word of God overrules barrenness. Scripturally, the Word of God maintains that there shall not be barrenness among the children of God. This is the position of the Word of God! Every expectant mother should anchor her faith on this word.

The journey of faith is a rugged one. It is a journey that he may not see the end, but believes that all must be well. Faith will take a believer to his destination in life. This is why a believer must confess positively at all times, even in the face of seeming difficulties. Any attempt to confess negatively destroys all traces of faith. Faith is what will make things happen; it pulls God to action.

Confess faith today and you will have whatever you desire.
