“The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel,” Judges 5:7.
There are distinct characteristics of every reformer, both in secular and spiritual matters. I have deliberately in this edition chosen the character in the above scripture to awaken the women world and challenge the domineering opposite gender. Anyone, who is especially born of God, can spark off a revolution in any sphere of life. This is because the Holy Ghost is gender neutral. This is the root of my propositional logic:

“That what can can can, can can can and what can may not, can can can.”

There was in Israel a strange era, when there was a looming danger, oppression and tyranny from their enemies, whose aim was the extermination of the Jews and conquest of the Promised Land, and the people were progressively impoverished.

Men were in holds and trenches, women gathered in teams to gossip the uncertain fate of the nation; but Deborah arose.

It is noteworthy that in the next chapter, Gideon also arose. So, you can be the Gideon or a Deborah of your Country, Kindred or father’s house. Yes you can! You can bring a revolution to that situation now, if only you will arise in the name of the Lord. Remember God is only waiting for the available and not the valuables. Somebody may need to cry like Isaiah today, “Lord, here am I, send me”.

However, the people must cultivate the following characteristics here outlined:

• Courage: The enemies gainfully occupied the Promised Land, yet God commanded Joshua to go and divide the land among the twelve tribes of Israel. What of the enemies Joshua might have asked? God’s reply was: “Be strong and of a good courage…” Joshua 1:6

In possessing your possessions, enemies are the principal and fundamental “heritage”. Enemies must be under control before you can control and enjoy the land. That you have enemies is not a news item; it can be only real fictional News, if you don’t have enemies. Every good God-given table is surrounded by enemies (Psalm 23:5).

Courage is not absence of danger. It is confronting both perceived and practical danger without fear. “I arose a mother of Israel”, not to go and fry stew but to lead Israel to battle. You can arise now. Your sitting and watching are the problem; your rising is the first step to the solution. We are not to sit down, but to stand up for Jesus, our Royal Highness.

When will you turn from the way of hell fire? Tomorrow may be too late. Jesus is coming soon. Arise Now and turn. Don’t forget this: “If you mind opposition, you will miss your position.”
