Every seed a voice – Part 1

Many believers are stirred by the spirit to give into the Kingdom, but resist it, due to the compendious will of the flesh. They stop the flow of the harvest and the pull or urge of the spirit in them, even when they know it is God telling them to do it.

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? Luke 24:32

Their hearts burn within them to say this is of God, but their flesh overrides the voice of the spirit. Many, today, are still victim of such evil (By resisting the Spirit, they quench it).

The response of Jesus shows also the deep and great importance of seed sowing. It does not only make room for your harvest materially, it also touches every aspect of your life. Jesus was telling them that, if you don’t understand this issue of seed sowing, how will you understand other mysteries of life?

It doesn’t just affect your salvation, which is the true way to living life, it also affects your health, children and your relationship with God and people. It was the seed of Mary in John 11:1-3 that made room for the raising of Lazarus from the dead.

I must let you know that after you have sown your seed, mockers will rise and their main purpose is to destroy your seed and your harvest. So many women were gathered at the tomb of Lazarus, even after he had been buried four days. Their aim of waiting was to see if the seeds Mary and Martha had sown in the life and ministry of Jesus would speak. Otherwise, one wonders why for days after his burial, the multitudes of women were still waiting.

And even after He rose, they went back to the Pharisees who sent them to give them the news. While some believed, others who were bent on destroying the name of Jesus in the lives of Mary and Martha went back to re-strategise with the Pharisees.

Then many of the Jews, which came to Mary, and had seen the things, which Jesus did, believed on him.
But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. John 11:45-46

They didn’t go to their houses? There are many who gather around you only to see what becomes of you. You will laugh last to their shame.

It was the seed of Tabitha also called Dorcas that spoke for her, which brought her back to life after Peter was sent for (Acts 10:1-36).

In Acts 10, the Bible tells us a story about Cornelius the Centurion, whose seed spoke for him and his family and they became saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. Through his giving of alms, salvation came and they were baptised in the Holy Ghost and even though Apostle Peter called him unclean and wanted to resist going, the seed spoke for him and increased the prompting. (Acts 10:1-36)

The importance of seed in the totality of a man’s life cannot be over-emphasised. The acts in Acts 10 changed the message of the Apostles and it was no longer for the Jews alone, but the Gentiles were eventually given access to it and were now welcomed into the fold of believers because a man was committed to seed sowing.

Seed is an instrument of God to conquer poverty and lack in a man’s life. Tithe and first fruit rebukes, protects, preserves, maintains and secures (Romans 11:16) but your seed determines and guarantees your prosperity and its measure.

Your seed determines the helps and helpers received. The man at the pool of Bethsaida said he had no man to help him (John 5:7). Can you imagine that? Yet, there was a man sick of the palsy, whose four friends had to pull down through the roof and were ready to repair it afterwards (Mark 2:1-5).
