Knights of Saint Paul pledge commitment to God, humanity
The leadership and members of the Knight of Saint Paul have pledged their commitment and dedication to service God and humanity through expansion of God’s activities.The Grand Knight of Knighthood of Saint Paul (National), Barr. Austin Odigie made this assertion in Benin, Edo State capital, shortly after its yearly General Meeting, where he was elected the body’s Grand Knight for the next four years.
He said: “I feel elated after the election. It is the work of God. I believe there are a lot of things God wants to use me to achieve. We are going to dedicate all our talents; all that we have to serve the Lord Almighty.
“I want to believe a new dawn has broken in the affairs of knighthood order of Saint Paul. We will do our very best to serve Him and we want Him to take the glory for it all. We are very much interested in the expansion of this order into other provinces in this country. Today, the order is 26 years plus and we want to ensure that in a couple years to come; more beautiful things would have been in place.
“Practically, we want the best for this country. Our duty from Christ is to go out and evangelise every part of the world. We shall spread to every area of this country and they will feel our impact, so that the good things associated with Knighthood Order of Saint Paul will be felt or seen in every area of this country.”
The newly elected nine executive members are to spend one term of four years. The term of office was changed from two terms of four years each to one term of four years to enable those who are serious to be elected.
