More Grace Bible Institute (MGBI) is not a training ground for general overseers (GOs), but a place to acquire training to use God-given talents.

More Grace Bible Institute (MGBI) is not a training ground for general overseers (GOs), but a place to acquire training to use God-given talents.

The Dean of Studies, Chidozie Amadi, stated this on Friday during the school’s 13th Convocation at the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Headquarters in Lagos.

The pastor explained that having a ‘ministry’ or ‘calling’ does not necessarily mean opening a church or becoming a GO. “It means bringing yours gifts and services as a humble servant to the church in fulfilment of the mission of our Lord, Jesus Chris, Who is the Head.”

Moderator of the event, Chris Amanze, also a pastor, urged the scholars to pray God to make them fruitful vessels to be used in His Kingdom.

The president of the student’s union, Tobi Atumah, said: “the school has been a place of character development and refinement. The school’s spiritual impact has produced in us such virtues as love, unity, dedication and loyalty to the church’s cause. We have been equipped to be great ambassadors of the school and church. We will stand up for the church’s progress and not for selfish agenda.”

He appealed to well-meaning individuals to partner with the school to attain greater heights.

The dean said the institute, with 450 graduating students this year, has made significant progress.

He added that the graduates would not only be pastors, but would also handle one organ of the church or another.

“We are not only training pastors, but we are also training leaders and evangelists that will go out there to win souls for God,” he said.
