The Ogun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced 2024 sensitisation programme to enable intending pilgrims to obtain application forms in preparation for the December trip to Israel and Jordan.

The press officer of the board, Lateef Ositelu, in a statement sent to the Guardian quoted the Executive Secretary of the Board, Ibiyemi Oduyemi, as saying that the programme was part of the statutory measures put in place to inform Christian bodies across the zones of Remo, Ẹgba, Yewa and Ijebu, about the importance and biblical relevance of pilgrimage to Israel.

At a meeting held in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Oduyemi said the board has rolled out jingles and adverts on radio stations in the state to promote religious tolerance, inclusiveness and participatory spirit among various Christian denominations.

The executive secretary urged all intending pilgrims to embark on the pilgrimage exercise through the Ogun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board and obtain their application forms at the board’s office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, adding that the board remains the best bet because of its detailed and second to none welfare packages.

He called on Christian philanthropists, churches and well-meaning organisations to support Christians who are desirous to embark on the religious trip, but lack the resources.
