UNITED Bible University has developed a unique professional programme for faculty members and other research scholars leading to professorial award in various Christian educational disciplines.

The programme is designed to assist faculty members to upgrade their educational qualifications and expertise. A Bible scholar and theologian, Pastor Paul Emeka, who already has several other degrees, also took advantage of the institution’s offer to add another degree in research.

He has, thereby become a Professor of Systematic Theology and Biblical Studies. Ever thirsty for more knowledge, the cleric said: “The Bible says, ‘study to show yourself approved.’ The only thing is that one shouldn’t be proud, but should endeavor to read more, dig more, discover more and help the society.

So, I will continue to study. “We believe that if pastors and evangelists knew the Bible very well, they would interpret it well and that would take care of so many wrongs existing in the society. A good interpretation of the Bible would yield positive development for society in all ramifications.”

He advised government to pay attention to the educational sector and not mere lip service, adding, “Let teachers be paid and money be made available for research. The government has the means to do that; so that we can compete favourably with our counterparts elsewhere.”
