TO ensure that the gospel of Christ reaches every corner of the nation by ensuring that a parish is accessible in at least five-minute’s walk, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Province 37 dedicated four new parishes, last Sunday.

The parishes, which were dedicated by the Pastor-in-charge of region 11, Oretayo Adetola, includes RCCG Prince of Peace parish, Magboro, Ogun State, RCCG Power Assembly parish, Oke-Odo, RCCG Praise Court, Orelope, Egbeda and RCCG Miracle Model parish, Ipaja.

In her words of exaltation, Pastor Adetola, who expressed satisfaction at the speed the churches were completed, noted that, as workers and ministers who build for the Lord, they must also ensure they build themselves by living a sinless life.

Speaking on the role of women in nation building, especially as the elections draw near, she enjoined women, as mothers of the nation, to stand in one accord to pray for the deliverance in the hands of the tax master.

“We have been enveloped and nothing else can take us away from the hand of the tax master except God Himself. It is only He that can decide who leads us and so, our prayer as women should be that may He give us women and men after His heart that will rule Nigeria justly and in the fear of the Lord; people ordained by God, whose agenda is not different from His.

“Over the years, we have seen issues, and we need to address them by praying without ceasing. Women have a passion for people’s lives and when they pray, God answers.”

On the role of the church, she noted that the church should be a source of light, and example of the salt of the earth, “because sometimes, people look at us in the church and they say, see the church people.’ This is the time church congregations should stand out, champion with integrity and honesty so that people out there can see an example of what our Jesus looked like and then be drawn to Him. When that happens, together we can salvage the nation.”

The pastor-in-charge of RCCG Province 37, Benjamin Adewole Ajayeoba, while commenting on role of the church, said: “We are praying for the nation, we are praying for our community and what people should have in mind is to focus on God at this time. If you look at the society today, there is a high rate of corruption because people have given themselves to immorality and have forgotten the Lord.”
