God does not want us to live lonely and separated lives from everyone and everything. God created us to have a relationship with Him and other people and He wants us to make the right choice about who we let into our lives.

God does not want us to live lonely and separated lives from everyone and everything. God created us to have a relationship with Him and other people and He wants us to make the right choice about who we let into our lives. When people come into your life, they don’t just bring their bodies, they bring their spirits so be careful who you open up yourself to. If you find yourself taking two steps forward and one step backwards, it is because you have mixed associations in life. Holding on to people you have outgrown is like trying to wear clothes that you have outgrown. If you don’t let them go, then the fresh contact that is supposed to add value to your life will not come.

In our previous edition, we considered four sets of persons that you must not allow into your boat. The fifth set of persons you need to watch out for, are those people who think they know it all. These persons are the most dangerous people because they will never learn anything new. Having half knowledge of something is more deadly than lack of that knowledge. The one without knowledge will be eager to learn, but the one with half knowledge that is not open to new ones, will always argue. You don’t need to waste your time trying to explain or teach them a new method, they will never learn.

The sixth set of persons you must never allow to continue in your life are those who always lure you to sin. These are people who want to take you out of the presence of God. They will always encourage you to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a moment. Such persons need to leave you for your blessings to come. It was when Abraham separated from Lot that was when he entered fully into the blessings of his inheritance. I decree, any person that needs to leave you for you to access your blessings or inheritance, will leave you now in Jesus name.

God has the right persons waiting to come into your life but not until the wrong persons leave, the right connections you need cannot come. The company you keep determines your influence. Many persons today are destroyed, not for the evil they do but for the company they keep. Also, blessings and promotions in life are enhanced by reason of those you associate with in life’s journey. When you associate with people, you share values, principles, visions and even spirits are transferred. A popular saying in Nigeria; “Show me your friends and I will show you who you are.”

There are people who have made grave mistakes in life, but if you are wise, you can
learn from their mistakes to avoid the same in your life. One of the most difficult tasks for a man of destiny, is to find reliable persons who are going in the same direction with him. The seventh set of persons you must avoid are those who bring out the worst in you. Whenever you are with them, you find yourself doing the things you vowed never to do. Such persons take away your peace and make you condescend to their own level. Matt.18:8 “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.”

What the scripture above suggests, is an extreme measure to deal ruthlessly with someone who wants to hinder your vision in life. The scripture suggests that whatsoever brings out the worst in your life should be avoided like a plague. If you don’t cut off that person, you can never fulfill your life’s vision; either to make it to heaven or to become great here on earth. Finally, the eighth group of persons are those who are going nowhere.
