The lifestyle of kingdom citizens

Every kingdom on earth has its lifestyle and modus operandi. Same is applicable to heavenly kingdom citizens. Kingdom citizens are unique set of people. Their uniqueness is embedded in Christ Jesus, Who secured the identity on the Cross of Calvary at redemption.

Right from origin, man enjoyed a wonderful relationship with God until it was truncated by man’s disobedience. This resultantly brought calamity and devastation to man! Man became destitute of God’s glory. His glory and kingdom citizenship was stripped off following his banishment from the Garden of Eden. He became a vagabond and fugitive on earth.

God’s love never relented for man despite his misbehaviour: He began to search for a means to reconcile man unto Himself. Nobody was found worthy for this task than the Prince of Peace, Who voluntarily, gave Himself for man, hence, man’s redemption and subsequent recovery of his lost identity and citizenship. However, to acquire this heavenly kingdom citizenship, repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ and His finished work of grace on the Calvary is the threshold. This is the only visa and passport to heaven.

Repentance ushers in with it kingdom lifestyle. A kingdom citizen abhors sins of all shields. Falsehood, lies, immorality, and the likes, negate kingdom lifestyle and values and must not be mentioned among believers. Kingdom citizens are the princes and princesses of God with all the benefits accrue to kingdom citizens. This kingdom must be diligently sought with all sincerity. In the book of John 1:45, Philip and Nathaniel understood this secret; they didn’t grope in the dark; they knew what they were seeking for. They found Jesus Christ, Who opened their eyes and made them kingdom citizens. Unfortunately, majority of people that go to church do not know what they are seeking for. Instead of seeking for the kingdom of God and its righteousness, they seek for miracles, bread and butter.

One of the beauties of being a kingdom citizen is that all the rights and privileges stolen by the devil is restored in its fullness at salvation. But many fail to understand this fact. They commit and live in sin with reckless abandon. Anybody that commits sin cannot be accommodated in the kingdom of God neither can he be a kingdom citizen. This is the standpoint and creed of Kingdom Power International Christian Praying Centre. Sin cannot be pampered or accommodated in this church. In extreme cases, and depending on the gravity of the sin, the member who commits such sin to spite God on His face, will be excommunicated and sent out of the church.

The church of Christ is expected to be a pure church, holy and chaste in all manner. We, as ministers in the temple of God, must strive by all means to preserve the standard of God’s holiness as kingdom citizens no matter whose horse is gored. Holiness is what is lacking today among believers and no one seems to be interested in it.

As kingdom citizens, love and peaceful coexistence reign supreme in this kingdom. This love is not a sensual love that destroys home and young people. It is not the kind of love that puts a young female girl in a family way and abruptly terminates her dream in life. It is rather love that assists and bears one another’s burden. This love, if allowed to govern a church and home, will bring down heavenly bliss.

To this end, endeavour to join in this kingdom and you will never regret you did. For further reading: Mark 1:15; Gen. 3:1-10; 4:8,12, 9, 16; Rev. 21:27; Mar. 4:23-25; Jn. 1:41,45; Roman’s 13:8; John 13: 34-35; Gal. 5:19-21.
