The power of prophetic praying and prophetic utterances – Part 4

Related

Without the prophets and the subsequent release of the prophetic, things continue to deteriorate in the nation and stagnate. The Bible says that in the days of Eli, there was no prophetic word, no open vision. Visions are the tools of the prophet. It was also in the days of Eli that things got out of hand, decayed, and went zigzag and backward. Disorder entered both the temple and the nation. Laxity entered into the priesthood. The lamp of God was allowed to go out.

Nobody was available to keep it burning. Corruption also entered, financial and immoral scandals ensued. The end result was national ruin. This is the picture of Nigeria today. Then Samuel, an authentic prophet of God arrived on the scene. From that time, God ended the era of the domination of the priesthood and began another era of the prophetic. Once more, God is about to begin another era. May you be a part of this new move in Jesus Name. Amen.

Activating The Five Senses Of The Spirit
“And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, AND SEETH Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bossom. And he cried and saith, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, AND COOL MY TONGUE, for I AM TORMENTED in this flame. But Abraham said…” Luke 16 v 23 – 25

It is obvious that when a man dies, his physical body and five natural senses cease to function. In the narrative above, the spiritual senses of the rich man were fully activated and functional. He saw, he heard, and believe me, one of the torments of hell is the ability to smell the stench of rotting corpses and sulphur. All these spiritual five senses were alive.

Just as we have the five natural senses of seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and taste, so likewise these five senses are to be operative in the spiritual. “That which was from the beginning, which we have HEARD, which we have SEEN with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have HANDLED, of the Word of life”. 1 John 1 v 1.

The things pertaining to the kingdom of God are spiritual. We enter them by the use of our spiritual senses. “Except a man be born again HE CANNOT SEE the kingdom of God” John 3 v 3b. The kingdom of God is the divine, heavenly, spiritual realm that every born again believer is meant to be able to see. Beyond seeing, Jesus said: “My sheep HEAR my voice” John 10 v 27a
J
esus in the scripture repeatedly made statements like “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” Matthew 11 v 15, Matthew 13 v 9, Matthew 13 v 43, Mark 4 v 9, Luke 8 v 8, Luke 14 v 35, Revelation 2 v 17, Revelation 2 v 11, Revelation 2 v 29, Revelation 3 v 6, Revelation 3 v 13, Revelation 3 v 22.

This means you can have physical ears, yet not able to hear certain things. It is not by hearing someone speak in an audible voice, which we hear with our physical, natural ears that brings understanding to our minds. It is by discerning with ears of the spirit. “It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profited nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit…” John 6 v 63

It is very common for men to be seeing and hearing physically, yet not hearing or seeing anything spiritually. This is a tragedy; “They seeing, see not: and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah which saith, by hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive.

For this people’s heart is waxed gross (fat) and their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes they have closed, lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and be converted AND I SHOULD HEAL THEM. Matthew 13v13-15

Do you know that the inability to walk in divine health is evidence that you have ears and used to hear about divine healing, but your spiritual ears have never comprehended the mystery? Jesus, in these scriptures was quoting Isaiah 6v9-10, where he says the heart of these people is covered with spiritual fatness, clogging your heart. This can be burnt off as you engage in the spiritual exercise required of you. Hearing and seeing things in the spirit will result in a rapid tremendous harvest of fruitfulness and increase. Thirty to sixty or hundred fold.

“He that HEARETH the word, and understandeth it; (i.e. sees) which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty” Matthew 13 v 23

The more you see and hear determines the extent of your productivity as a believer. It is our seeing that unlocks the doing and the performing. Without seeing and hearing, we cannot perform. “…The son can do nothing of himself but what he seeth the Father do…” John. 5v19
