In Part One of this article, we gave an extensive definition of the realm of the supernatural. We shall now examine some of those who experienced and operated in this realm. The Apostle Peter lived in the supernatural realm. Peter had an unusual experience while in prison; an angel of God came to whisk him away from the prison, where he was slated for death. He later testified, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.” (Acts 12:1-11).

In Acts 16:25-34, we read of another supernatural deliverance that involved Paul and Silas. Jesus operated in the realm of the supernatural with ease because he is the Lord of all realms. In Mt 3:13-17, Jesus experienced the realm of the supernatural.

In Numbers 11:16-34, when Israel murmured because of meat, God heard it, He then promised to send them an abundance of meat. Moses doubted God’s ability to provide meat for millions of people in the wilderness; God then asked him this question: “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened…?” In a show of his almightiness, God caused the wind to blow overnight and to flood the camp of Israel with quails. God’s miracle kept the children of Israel busy all night and day gathering meat. The question is: where did the quails come from? They came from the supernatural storehouse of God.

How Do We Experience The Supernatural?
How do we connect and experience the realm of the supernatural? It is very imperative that every child of God asks for the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit has a direct functional connection with the realm of the supernatural. Paul prayed for the Ephesians thus: “that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know…” (Eph.1: 18).

Second, humility is a key to operating in the supernatural. No proud person can operate in this realm. Lucifer was an angel in God’s presence but was dethroned from this realm due to pride.

Third, fasting and prayer, like we saw in Jesus’ experience on the Mount of Transfiguration and Peter’s deliverance from prison also takes us into this realm. If you want to experience and operate in this realm, you must be ready to live a prayer and fasting lifestyle.

Fourth, true worship brings us into this unusual realm of the supernatural. In Acts 13:1-3 as the disciples worshipped God; He visited them in a supernatural way. When Paul and Silas sang hymns in the prison cell, there was an earthquake (16:16-34). That was an evidence of the supernatural.

Fifth, faith in God is necessary to operate in the supernatural. Read Hebrews 11:1-3. Sixthly, holiness is imperative to operate in the supernatural.

Finally, let us know that God is inviting us to live and operate in this realm. Operating in the realm of the supernatural leads us to fruitfulness and increase. The supernatural increase affects every area of our endeavour. There is a numerical increase, biological increase, financial increase, spiritual increase, material increase, emotional increase, increase in our mental capacity, and increase in our abilities and capacities, etc. The supernatural increase is possible in every area of our lives. God made Peter to experience increase; He made Isaac experience increase. Jacob experienced an increase in the flock he tended. Both Daniel and Joseph experienced an increase in wisdom, knowledge and influence. The widow of Zarephath experienced Increase. The Church in Acts of the Apostles experienced numerical increase. We, too, can experience increase now. pastoracukachi@gmail.com
