“Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy,” (John 16: 20).
GOD’S promise to His children is joy. He assures that they will rejoice even when the world is in sorrow. So, if you are a child of God and you are not having that joy right now, worry not, because the time to favour Zion has come. Your moment of joy has come because God has decided to season your life with joy.
What you are going through might have made you to wonder if you are destined for sorrow; no, you are not! I want to reassure you that God has a special plan to lift you from sorrow into His glorious freedom, where you will experience unimaginable joy. This plan will bring a downpour of blessings that will wash away all traces of sorrow, disappointment, grief and mourning from your life.
God Almighty is coming to address your situation and bring about a transformation that will turn your sorrow into joy. Through this divine visitation, burdens will be lifted, illnesses will be healed, and the afflicted will find deliverance. Your old life of sin and hardship will be renewed with a spirit-filled life, empowering you to rise above sin.
If you are currently sorrowful, it is possible that God has allowed it to help you understand the value and sweetness of joy, igniting a desire for it within you, so that as He gives you joy comes this February 7, and 8, 2026, you will appreciate Him. Coming weekend is the appointed time when God will transform your sorrow into joy. In this programme, no one will go back with sorrow; it will be a celebration of joy. The lame will walk, the blind will see, the deaf will hear, and their afflictions will be no more, while the sick will be healed, among many more.
Now that you know what God is preparing to do and the blessings we can expect, how do you prepare for this moment? Amos 4:12 says: “Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.”
The scriptural context reminds us to prepare for this visitation, as our God, the King of kings, is coming to lift us from sorrow to joy. The Sovereign King, who reigns over both the spiritual and physical realms, has announced His coming. So, how can we prepare our homes andourselves for this moment?
It is crucial to recognise that any preparation we undertake must be aimed at capturing His attention when He arrives. Without a warm and resounding welcome for Him, we may miss out on the blessings He brings. Therefore, we must make every effort to please Him on arrival, so that, we can receive His blessings.
Habakuk 1: 13 says: “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?”

The Lord’s eyes are too holy to look upon sin, as it contradicts His will and everything He represents, namely: holiness and purity. Therefore, wisdom dictates that we must align ourselves with His nature in our preparation, so that, He can behold us. God embodies holiness, so, we must be free from any corruption, both in His essence and in His laws. Since God is holy, we too must strive for holiness in order to gain His approval and experience His visitation. We must distance ourselves from all forms of defilement, consecrate ourselves entirely to Him, and remain obedient to His commands.
1 Peter 1:15-16 says: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. 16: Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.” To receive from God during this His visit, we must clothe ourselves in holiness, both inside and outside, and, most importantly, share the news of His coming with others. This preparation is vital because God has chosen these two days of the programme to visit and transform our sorrow into joy. We should strengthen our resolve, lift any drooping hands, make our paths straight for our feet, and avoid evil so that we are not found wanting when He comes.
We must guard our hearts against corruption, as it can disrupt our wellbeing and prevent us from experiencing His blessings. We need to perfect areas of weakness, do away with sin, address areas of feebleness in our faith and ensure we uproot harmful tendencies in our heartsthat might hinder us from benefiting from His coming.
Heb. 12-14 says: “Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees. 13: And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. 14: Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” If you want to encounter God and receive His blessings at His coming, you must wholeheartedly adhere to His teachings, particularly regarding sanctification, for without it, no one will see the Lord. In preparing to receive blessings, it is essential not to claim to be holy, while harbouring conflicts with your neighbour. A true Christian must embody both peace and piety to be eligible for God’s blessings.
Claiming holiness, while being contentious goes against the very essence of holiness, and such a person will not see the Lord when He comes to bless His people. Our holiness towards God must be matched by our peacefulness towards others. This balance is crucial, as true holiness attracts blessedness; without it, no one will see the Lord.
Beloved, next weekend, God is coming in His majesty to address the sorrows of His people in a special programme, titled: “From Sorrow To Joy.” This divine visitation will undoubtedly transform the lives of all who will participate. It is essential that everyone prepares to receive God’s blessings during this event. There’s no doubt that our lives will be changed for good forever afterward. The deaf will speak, the lame will walk, the blind will see, and the afflicted will be delivered. If we take care to prepare for human visitors, our preparation for God must even be greater. If we believe that God is more significant than any earthly leader, we must be prepared to honour Him in a special way.
Let’s not come alone, as that would be selfish. We are to invite people including the deaf, mentally ill, blind, the afflicted; we must not leave the drug addicts, those who indulge in smoking, prostitutes, sorcerers, gamblers, among others. If we invite them with faith, believing that God will heal and transform them, I assure you, He will address their needs. Countless testimonies abound of what God has done for us in this church and in all our programmes to prove His power and love amid us.
Mt 9:32 -33 says: “As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. 33: And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, it was never so seen in Israel.” The Scriptures make it clear that wherever our Lord Jesus Christ went during His time on earth, multitudes with diverse problems were brought to Him, and He healed them. Those who recognised His coming actively invited others to join, and those who accepted the invitation were not disappointed. In the same way, you are encouraged to invite others to this crusade as part of your preparation. By doing so, God will recognise your good work and bless you.”
Rev. 22: 12- 13, “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
Christ is speaking to you, saying that He is coming to bring comfort and support to His followers. I urge you to embrace the divine ideal of this visitation, go and invite all to come because everything is ready. I am assuring all that on that day all sorrows shall be turned to joy.
