The confidence of a true believer

The earth is an extension of heaven, a colony of the Kingdom of heaven; while the church is an outpost established with our Lord Jesus Christ as the head.

Matthew 24:12-13: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13: But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

The earth is an extension of heaven, a colony of the Kingdom of heaven; while the church is an outpost established with our Lord Jesus Christ as the head. The Church is established to indoctrinate the people of the earth of heaven’s culture with the view of bringing them back to heaven at the end of their earthly life. The people who have wholeheartedly accepted heaven’s culture are called believers in Christ. They are the Christ-like people, the Christians! They are to be like their mentor, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God. These believers in our Lord Jesus Christ have strong confidence in God for their provisions and protection here on earth and their salvation and deliverance at the return of the Lord. God through our Lord Jesus Christ is in full control of their lives; taking care of them and their activities. This fact is expressed in Psalm 23:1-6: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2: He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3: He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5: Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” The canopy of God’s love is over all the believers. God created human beings and directed that we live in obedience to His words with a promise of taking care of the people that serve Him.

Believers have the confidence that as they serve the Lord here on earth, God will take good care of them and at the end of their lives, admit them into His Kingdom for eternity. There is a covenant between God and Abraham in which the later served and worshiped God, and God protected and provided for him. This covenant extends to Abraham’s children and all the spiritual descendants of Abraham. It is unfortunate that the current situation of man’s life is full of troubles and wickedness. There is man’s inhumanity to man, wars and different levels of attacks, as well as afflictions and diseases. Matthew 24:7-9 says: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8: All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9: Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10: And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11: And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

Amid these tribulations, God will protect the believers under His canopy of love and care. Believers have this strong faith that God will never allow any negative event on earth to affect them. In the lead scripture above, the Bible says that iniquity shall multiply and many people will be discouraged, but as many people that stand for God will be saved. The reference here is not just to the salvation of the souls of the believers who endure the persecution, but also their deliverance when the Lord returns. This is what keeps the true believers in the faith.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 says: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. 3: Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. 4: Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. 5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

At this period of peril, a lot of evils will manifest, leading to many denying the body of Christ, but the true believer will stay with God. They will remain faithful to the level that nothing will separate them from the love of God. The divine advise is that believers should stay away from deceivers and false prophets who pretend to be godly, yet denying the power therein. It is at this period that true believers are separated from the chaff. It is the confidence they have in God and the power therein that keeps them growing in the faith. They have the strong believe that since God is with them no power can hurt them. Hence, Romans 8:31-32 says: “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32: He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” If the epistle to the Romans may be likened to the great seat of Christian truth, then Chapter 8 is the highest of the spires (pinnacle) of the divine revelation.

The grandeur of the theme is shown in the largeness of its reference to God; the sweep of its revelation, which includes the past, present, and future — that is from creation to eternity.

God the Father is seen as Judge (Roman 8: 30, 33), as benefactor (v.32), as ruler of history (v28-30), as the Lord who searches heart (v.27), calls man (v.28), justifies and glorifies believers (v.30), and above all, He is shown as the God of love who spared not His own son, but delivered Him up for us all.

God the Spirit is gloriously presented as the source of power, life and peace, and the quickener and indweller. He leads witnesses to our spirit and intercedes (v.26) as well as the Spirit of our sonship and the first fruits of our redemption (v.23)

This chapter speaks of men as well. The man devoid of spirit cannot please God (v.6-8). Christians know infirmity, but may live by the spirit as God’s heirs; moreover, his body as well as his spirit is involved in God’s plan of redemption (v.23); and best of all, he is to be conformed to the image of God’s Son. With these plans of God, the Christian believer is assured that as long as he remains in faith, doing the will of God, at the end of his life, God will welcome him into His kingdom. Nevertheless while on earth as a faithful Christian, he remains under the watchful view and protection of God. This explains the reason some members of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries under the cover of “I am a Chosen” will with bare-hand face armed robbers and in some cases collect their AK-47 riffles from them. God is with the righteous believer; He protects him in the face of any danger. This is why my members are not afraid of armed robbers because they are confident that God will protect them from the armed robbers’ bullets, if they declare that they are of the Lord’s Chosen.

Again, believers are equally confident that at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, they will be raptured with Him to heaven. This keeps them in faith. And by the grace of God, we all will make it to heaven hereafter.

Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing

God Of Chosen Vindicates The Righteous
It is painful to pay or suffer for what one did not do. However, God who knows the end from the beginning and vice versa knows how to deliver the righteous. This was my case.

I am Sister Nkiru Eze. I live at Ikeja and joined the Lord’s Chosen in 2008. I appreciate God for delivering me from the clutches of death. On January17, my children demanded I call my younger sister who was living with me, but ran away with my neighbour’s eight-year-old child.

I called as they wanted and asked her to return home. She replied that she would. My husband had her response and called her repeatedly to return home with the child. Failing to keep her words, the case was reported to the police who said actions would only be taken against her after 24 hours. I was then arrested for a crime I knew nothing.

My husband later informed me that the child has been found, but she was raped, dead and abandoned. I was kept in the cell for three weeks, while investigations were on. God miraculously intervened when the Commissioner of Police (CP) was transferred and another CP took his place. One day, the new man visited the over 300 us in the cell awaiting trial, and left without a word.

The next day, my husband visited me in the cell and said that we have been asked to take the bills of the dead girl.

At another time, while the new CP was addressing the inmates, he spotted me and asked, what brought me to the cell.

My IPO told him all that had happened and he was provoked and shouted: “Release her, release her.” On Thursday of that week, I was taken to the commissioner’s office and after the official processes, I was released.

Praise the Lord. I was released without paying a dime. The God of Chosen is so great, may His name be glorified… Amen!

I pray for our G.O. and all the Chosen members across the world for God to grant all of us eternal rest in heaven in Jesus’ name.
