The present state of the church – Part 4

We thank God for “every scripture” that has been given to minister doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness, but “every scripture” cannot minister these things until it is RIGHTLY DIVIDED. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).…

We thank God for “every scripture” that has been given to minister doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness, but “every scripture” cannot minister these things until it is RIGHTLY DIVIDED. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).

The Word of truth can be rightly divided; in which case, it ministers life, liberty, light, and deliverance. The Word of Truth can also be wrongly divided; in which case, it ministers death, bondage, and darkness.

The truth of the Word of God has to be rightly divided into their dispensations because a truth for one dispensation may not be a truth for another dispensation. When we present the truth for one dispensation as truth for another dispensation, it means that scriptures have not been rightly divided and the result is chaos and doctrinal confusion in which demons thrive.

Bro. Peter talks about being “established in the PRESENT TRUTH” (2 Peter 1:12). This suggests that there is a Past Truth, which is no longer a truth for the present time. It means that the Past Truth is outdated and has been replaced by the Present Truth. No wonder the Bible says now that God has brought the New Covenant, “he hath made the first covenant old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away” (Heb. 8:13).

In the light of all the foregoing, let me again ask the question: What is demonic doctrine? Any teaching that does not agree with the scripture, rightly divided into their dispensational truths is demonic. Let me put it another way: Any teaching, no matter how logical, reasonable or expedient that does no agree with the heart and the Spirit of the New Testament revelation is demonic. Let me put it yet another way; Any teaching, although may be part of the Old Testament scriptures which does not agree with the mind of God as expressed in the covenant of the BETTER BLOOD is demonic. Let me put it yet another way: Any teaching that presents a PAST TRUTH as a PRESENT TRUTH is demonic. Let me put yet another way: Any teaching that presents the shadow or symbol as the original or the reality is demonic. Let me put it yet another way: Any teaching that shifts your faith from Jesus and put it in material things (such as a mantle, anointing oil and water) is demonic.

I have tried to explain this because reactions have shown that the phrase demonic doctrine is very offensive to our intellectual Christians. It is the phrase that our Pentecostal arrogance of “I am rich and have need of nothing” (Rev. 3:17) cannot stand, but let he that is spiritual acknowledge that what I am saying is of the Lord and also ties up with the scriptures as shown above. Therefore, whosoever despises that phrase “demonic doctrine” despises not a man but God (I Thess. 4:8).
