Key Verse: Genesis 25:27, “And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:” (KJV)

Beloved, have you been trusting God for a change regarding your family, business, finance, health, ministry, promotion, education, etc., all to no avail? And do you now believe your case is closed? If you so, please pay attention to me today; I have good news for you!

Joseph’s dreams about his greatness provoked more hatred for him from his brothers who were afraid of him becoming greater than them.

Even his dream got his father who loved him more than his brothers provoked and he rebuked him saying “Will I and your mother and your brothers really come to bow down ourselves to you on the ground”? (Genesis 37:10).

Joseph’s brothers plotted to kill him and throw him inside the pit and they said they would tell Jacob, their father that “some evil beast has devoured him”.

As they were waiting to carry out their evil conspiracy against Joseph, they saw the Ishmaelite traders with their Camels going down to Egypt.

Then Judah suggested, “What profit is it if we kill our brother and cover his blood? Come let us sell him to the Ishmaelites”.

They sold Joseph to the Ishmaelite traders. The Ishmaelites brought Joseph to Egypt and sold him to Potiphar, the courtier of Pharaoh.

Joseph’s brothers killed a goat and dipped the torn coat of many colors into it and took it to their father saying, a wild animal killed him. Jacob mourned Joseph for many days and refused to be comforted.

Jacob concluded in his mind that Joseph was a closed case. “No,” he said, “I will continue to mourn until I join my son in the grave.” (Genesis 37:34) What a hopeless statement! Have you also concluded like Jacob that your case is closed?

Many years later, there was great famine in the land and Jacob sent his sons to go and buy food in Egypt.

Joseph at that time was the Governor of Egypt and it was he who sold to all people of the land coming to buy food. Joseph revealed himself to his brothers who could not recognise him.

He asked about their father and instructed them to go and tell their father that he was still alive and that they should come back along with him.

Joseph’s brothers went back to Canaan and told their father saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is the governor over all the land of Egypt.

Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not and when he saw the wagons, which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob revived.

Jacob said, it is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.” (Genesis 45:26-28).

Jacob had concluded that Joseph is dead long time and had rotten in the grave. Jacob had concluded that Joseph’s case is closed. There was no glimpse of hope because he believed the report that Joseph was dead.

What is it in your life you consider closed? I pray for you that God that intervened in Jacob’s case shall turn your situation around for good.

Your case is not closed. Your condition is not your conclusion. There is nothing that is impossible with God.

In Mathew 19:26, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

If God can raise Lazarus out of the Grave, John 11:3; If Jabez story could change for the better, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 and If God can give Sarah a child in her old age, Genesis 21:2, then it means YOUR CASE HAS NOT BEEN CLOSED YET!

Today’s Nugget: YOUR CASE ISN’T CLOSED YET

Prayer: My condition is not the conclusion in Jesus Name.
