CNF tasks Olorunnimbe, NCC Board on network security, universal access

The Cloud Network Foundation (CNF), a key stakeholder in Nigeria’s telecoms industry, extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Board, Idris Olorunnimbe.

CNF, which commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing individuals of proven competence and vast experience to steer the communications sector, however, asked Olorunnimbe to hit the ground running.

For the benefit of doubt, Cloud Network Foundation (CNF), is a registered non-government organization devoted to the growth, development and emergence of Telecommunications and ICT as the chief driver of the nation’s economy.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Abimbola Tooki, CNF, while acknowledging the pedigree of Olorunnimbe, said the new board chairman brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight that will enhance the regulatory work of the Commission.

As such, the body has asked Olorunnimbe and the NCC Board to prioritise digital economy growth, regulatory efficiency, universal access and network security.

Toki said the CNF reiterated its commitment to working closely with the NCC and other stakeholders to drive industry growth and development.

“We look forward to partnering with Mr. Olorunnimbe and the NCC Board to achieve our shared vision for Nigeria’s telecoms sector.”
