‘Email marketing boosts RoI, services’

Netcore Solutions has stressed that email marketing remains the most robust, cost-effective and reliable channel, and delivers the highest Return on Investment (ROI).

Adding that it is a lucrative investment for marketers, the firm said email is germane and valid for effective marketing activities.

This was revealed in the Netcore Solutions report, having studied 180 million emails of financial institutions in Nigeria for year 2018.

According to the firm, the report is a perfect interpretation of the dynamics of email marketing today and for modern marketers to revamp their email marketing tactics.

The findings revealed that 48 per cent emails are sent from mobiles phones, while 45 per cent is sent via Desktops and Tablets take seven per cent. With respect to Operating System, Android tops the charts with 67 per cent, iOS takes 29 per cent, while Windows has four per cent.

For Mail Service Provider (MSP), Google recorded the highest sent volume of 50 per cent, followed by Yahoo with 41 per cent. Promotional offer emails work best on Mondays and Thursdays. Personalised emails perform 40 per cent better than non-personalised ones.

The firm added: “The volume of emails sent by brands is higher on Fridays and lower on weekends. Over one-third of emails sent are product marketing emails (37 per cent), then promotional emails (26 per cent), and survey/customer information is two per cent.

“The best days to send out a product marketing email are Sundays and Tuesdays, Customer information emails are to be sent out on Fridays and Tuesdays. The promotional emails are read widely on Thursdays and Mondays, whereas survey emails perform best on Mondays and Fridays.”
