The Degree Digital Hub, one of Nigeria’s leading tech companies, has launched the Direct Digital Sales Agent (DDSA) application, a groundbreaking platform designed to enhance financial inclusion and create job opportunities across key economic sectors in Nigeria.

Chief Executive Officer of The Degree Digital Hub, Niyi Dopamu, who spoke during the unveiling of the platform in Lagos, explained that DDSA sets itself apart from traditional job-matching platforms by offering agents direct access to jobs, with instant payments made upon task completion.

He noted that this model eliminates the need for formal interaction with employers, allowing all job-related activities to be managed directly within the app.

Dopamu said the platform is also designed to centralise access to job opportunities across a range of industries, including agriculture, banking, hospitality, education, and insurance which categorise users into three levels basic, premium, and ultimate based on their qualifications, with each level providing access to different types of tasks and roles. “Basic-level agents can perform general tasks with minimal qualifications, while premium and ultimate users can take on more specialised assignments, including those requiring certifications in fields like finance and marine services.”

Chief Operating Officer of The Degree Digital Hub, Segun Agunbiade, highlighted that DDSA would act as a bridge between job seekers and corporate organisations, facilitating assignments across sectors such as banking, micro-insurance, sales, and field activation.

He also noted that the platform would address a significant gap in the availability of digital jobs for individuals at the grassroots level through collaboration with existing agent aggregators and local business networks to provide job opportunities to individuals from diverse educational backgrounds.
