A Nigerian technology entrepreneur has launched a new digital platform aimed at transforming access to financial services and digital commerce across Africa.
Aderogba Abdulazeez Ayinde, founder and chief executive of the platform known as Bada, said the service is designed to connect underserved communities to modern financial tools, addressing the persistent exclusion of millions from the continent’s formal banking system.
Now available for download on Google Play and the Apple iOS Store, Bada integrates a wide range of services—from cryptocurrency exchange and gift card trading to bill payments and digital wallets—into a single, user-friendly app. Its rollout is expected to particularly benefit students, freelancers, traders, and small business owners who continue to face limited access to conventional financial infrastructure.
“Bada isn’t just another app, it’s a movement,” Ayinde said. “Our mission is to democratize access to financial tools and create a space where people across Africa can connect, trade, and thrive. We’re building for a future where opportunity isn’t limited by where you live.”
The platform includes a gift card marketplace, a high-speed crypto exchange engine, automated utility bill payments across four African countries, and a smart wallet system. All transactions are supported by identity verification tools and encrypted security layers to protect users against fraud.
Ayinde described the project as a response to the growing demand for inclusive financial solutions that meet the needs of the continent’s informal economy. “There’s a real need to give people at the grassroots level access to financial systems that support their goals, their families, and their dreams,” he said.
Bada’s technical architecture is built to support large volumes of transactions in real time, with infrastructure capable of scaling alongside demand. From Lagos to Kigali, users can use the app to pay for electricity, data, and airtime while also participating in broader digital trade ecosystems.
“Millions of Africans are still left behind by traditional financial systems,” Ayinde added. “With Bada, we’re not just offering a product, we’re opening doors to trade, financial education, and real economic growth.”
