SoftwareTHE Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) and the Soft Alliance and Resources Limited have expressed hope that the newly installed software and invoicing structure in its revenue management would further improve port business and make it attractive for users.

First to speak, the Managing Director of NPA, Habib Abdullahi, said at the unveiling ceremony of Revenue Invoicing Management System and Customer Portal, that it was presenting the portal that are fully convergent and real time platforms for port processes, which will lower operational cost and shorten the time for documentations.

“These platforms fully integrate the electronic flow of information for business–to–customer and business–to–business streams real-time, with higher availability and flexible architecture’, he stated.

The Managing Director of Soft Alliance and Resources Limited, the firm that handled the project for NPA, Tunde Badejo, expressed optimism that the authority’s pragmatic move will promote efficiency and enhance transparency in the organisation.

Badejo said the platform would go a long way in driving the change the country is currently clamouring for and boost the country’s revenue.

As a technology company that has rendered such foolproof service for states and corporate organisations like Lagos, Edo, Ekiti states and Oando, the Soft Alliance and Resources Limited boss is confident that NPA has just created a check and balance platform that will boost transparency and simplify payment process for NPA customers and staff.

He said: “From any angle one chooses to look at it, the Revenue Invoicing Management System and Customer Portal will bring revenue to the country, block linkages and promote efficiency.”
