Some members of the People’s Democratic Party were attacked on Wednesday by allegedly by members of the All Progressives Congress at King Koko Square in Nembe, Bayelsa State.

The attack was said to be a retaliation of an alleged attack by PDP member on APC members on their way to their party rally at Igbogene town in Yenago LGA in the State.

Violent clashes among suspected political thugs have increased in the state in recent weeks as voters go to the poll on Saturday to elect a new governor.

Both PDP and APC are the frontrunners in the election holding in a state that is traditionally a PDP stronghold.
