The deputy national secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Jerry Obasi, has disassociated himself from alleged plot by a group, Rescue APGA, to destabilise the party.

Addressing reporters, yesterday, in Abakaliki, Chief Obasi said the group has been cloning the phone numbers of some of its national officers, to call for a meeting.

He said: “I don’t know anything about the group called Rescue APGA. And I advise them to refrain from their activities. There are more civilised ways to ventilate anger. We will not tolerate any plan by any group to destroy our party. We have one APGA, and it is our duty to protect it.
