
The maiden edition of the ‘Sapele Community Talent Hunt’ may have come and gone but the thrills that came with it will not be forgotten in a hurry. Organised by showbiz promoter and chief executive officer of Ten Over Ten Entertainment, Kess Majemite, the competition had teenage girl, Miss. Agusta Uguchi Agwaze, emerged the overall winner.
The high octane event, which held at the Hotel de Rome, Sapele, Delta State, had the creme de la creme from within and outside the entertainment industry and the society in attendance. Highlight of the event was the award presentation to some prominent Deltans, who were honoured in various categories for their support and contribution to humanity and youth development.
Also honoured were royal fathers from within and outside the community, including His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel. E. Sedeso Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, who was presented with a royal award of excellence. Others include business mogul and hotelier, Mr. Sunday Okoro a.k.a G1, who was honoured with an award of excellence; CEO Majgeona Enterprises Nigeria, Mr. and Mrs. George Onajite Majemite.

Speaking at the event, Majemite said the essence of the hunt in the bustling town is to showcase the rich talents of youths from the local communities in Sapele and its environs with a view to bring them to limelight, adding that most youths who with talents have left it untapped and are wasting away, hence the need to help them achieve and realise their potentials in whatever form is inherent.
He lamented the neglect of youths by government and society, saying that the youths are not being given a place in society and governance, and the politicians have engage most of the youths in crimes and all forms of electoral violence.
Expressing hope for youths in the famed Ogogoro brewing town, Majemite said that succor is underway in the form of record deals and cash prizes to the tune of one million naira for participants at each finals of the competition which is expected to come up in subsequent editions across the other 25 local government council area in the state.
Agwaze expressed appreciation to the organisers of the event, which has made her a star.
