Founder of ACTDF, Engr. Noah Dallaji, who disclosed this at an interactive session with the beneficiaries at its office in Abuja, said the gesture was in fulfillment of the vision and mission of the foundation to support and develop Nigerian youths for excellence.
He said the scholarships, which are fully funded, are for both undergraduate and graduate schools.
He said while three would study in American and British institutions, one of the beneficiaries is already studying in Nigeria.
He noted that the students were chosen after a competitive selection process and as approved by the board to pursue their courses of interest at the various institutions.
Dallaji, who said though the students were set to travel to their respective destinations to begin studies, a new batch was underway as the process for additional awards was being processed.
The beneficiaries include Olatokunbo Kila, who is to study for a Master’s programme in Energy Systems Management at the University of Fransisco (USA), Afolabi Damilola Oluwaseyi, who is also for a master’s in Public Health at the Leeds Becket University (UK), Deborah Amara Okafor, a degree in English and Philosophy at the University of Georgia (Georgia) and Onah Ifunanya Rita currently studying Microbiology at Dorben Polytechnic, Bwari, Abuja.
He said: “I congratulate all the beneficiaries for being chosen in such a competitive process. Your success is an affirmation of your academic excellence and the potential it holds for your future if you continue to be steadfast and dedicated to your dreams. Let me implore you all to remain patriotic by being good ambassadors of ACTDF and our nation.”
