Father of triplets commends government for assistance

The father of set of triplets, Mr. Lawrence Amen Ogboe, has commended the Lagos State government for supporting his family during trying time.

On July 28, 2019, Ogboe’s wife died after given birth to a set of triplets, which made him dejected.

But luckily for him, he met a staff of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development (MYSD), who heard of his predicament, and advised him to approach the ministry for support.

Thereafter, Ogboe submitted an application for assistance and the triplets were immediately taken into a government approved orphanages, where the babies were given proper attention.

When the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Olusegun Dawodu got the information about the triplets (Florence, Frida and Faith), he directed the Director, Child Development Unit, Mr. Bukayo Odukayo to put in place necessary machinery to give succour to the triplets. Odukayo visited the triplets to ascertain their true condition, and offer assistance.

Two years down the line, Ogboe visited the commissioner to appreciate the state government for the magnanimous gesture towards him and his children.

“I really appreciate the support, which was a great relief to me and my family,” he said.
