Speakers at the African Women Conference have called on women, especially Africans to always remember their role as supporters and builders of the home-front.

Speaking at the 8th edition of the conference tagged: “Ornaments for Christ,” held in Lagos to celebrate the uniqueness of the womenfolk, Mrs. Bola Bayo-Ajayi, President of Esther’s Sister Forum of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Glory Worship Centre, Yaba, Lagos, organisers of the programme, said the only way women can advance their homes is by being strong supporters of their husbands.

She told The Guardian that the programme was aimed at celebrating the inbuilt abilities of the African woman, as well as to empower other women in need.

“As women, we should understand that as we care for others, support our husbands, and protect our families, the place of God is very crucial and should not be underestimated. We shouldn’t lose our self-esteem because of the modern age,” she counseled.
