This was contained in a letter dated November 10, 2021, signed by legal counsel, Marshal Abubakar, for Falana & Falana’s Chambers, and addressed to the Executive Chairman, NASC.
The employees said unless their demands are met, 30 days from the date of receipt of the letter, they would commence legal action against NASC at the National Industrial Court.
The employees said they were legally employed as permanent and pensionable staff via various letters of appointment, duly issued and dated July 2, 2018, and placed on salaries with effect from August 1, 2018, but are yet to assume duties.
The letter notes that the aggrieved employees duly accepted the offer and were screened in July 2018. Upon a satisfactory exercise, they said they were assured they would be called to resume.
Consequently, some of them disengaged from all activities likely to hinder their ability to resume. Some were said to have resigned from previous appointments while others deferred admissions. Others, yet, rejected job offers.
