The Guardian learnt that the priest, who is serving in a nearby community to Akure, the Ondo Staten capital, was allegedly abducted on Monday evening when he was travelling from Ikere Ekiti in his Toyota Corolla Sedan car.
A close family source said the clergyman was traveling alone on that fateful day and was going to his station at Ilara-mokin, in Ifedore Local Council of the state.
The 49 years old priest was said to be attacked and whisked away by the abductors to an undisclosed location, but have not contacted the family members as of press time.
Contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, said she was yet to get any report on the kidnapped priest.
But the parishioners and close relatives of the priest confirmed the incident and prayed for his safety.
