Odedeji dedicates block of classrooms, library at Samuel Adegbite Anglican College, Idimu
The Diocese of Lagos West (Anglican Communion) has taken another step forward in her commitment to improving the quality of education in the country.
The Lord Bishop, Rt. Revd. James Olusola Odedeji, on Monday, December 13, 2021 dedicated the second phase of Samuel Adegbite Anglican College, Idimu, Lagos.
The mixed school established over three years ago was a donation by the Samuel Adegbite Foundation (SAF). Since then, the Diocese has invested heavily to make it a leading school in Lagos State, providing not just academic staff, but also contributing immensely to moral education.
The second phase of the project consists of 10 classrooms, one big library, staff room and office.
According to the school’s principal, Venerable Olaoluwa Adeyemi, the idea of the second phase project was borne out of the need to address the growth in student population.
He disclosed that the diocese partnered the SAF to fund the project, adding that with this backing, the school will soon overtake many of those established long before it.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the event were, the Chairman, Board of Governors of the school, Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo; the representative of Samuel Adegbite Foundation, Mr. Wale Adegbite; Dean of the Cathedral, Ven. Ebenezer Adewole; Babington, parents, students and staff of the school.
