The President of the Mothers’ Union and Women’s Guild of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Mrs. Angela Eberechukwu Ndukuba has enjoined Christian women to be actively involved in politics, adding that their participation will correct some of the ungodly ways politics is run in the country.
Addressing the Mothers’ Union Executives during of the Standing Committee meeting of the church hosted by the Diocese of Evo in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Ndukuba, who is the wife of the Primate, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), said: “Christian women should stop shying away from being involved in practical politics, as this will help correct the ungodly ways unbelievers have turned politics into in our nation.
“If we have more god-fearing politicians and leaders, we can then enjoy the kind of conditions that allow us to live quiet and godly lives. It is our responsibility as Christians to serve God with our substances and give cheerfully to the work of God. Our lives must be offered to God with full allegiance, knowing that obedience to God and His commands are evidence that we trust Him.”
