• Government Issues Alert
The multimillion-naira Ebeano Tunnel crossing, built during the Chimaroke Nnamani administration may collapse due to threat by flood.

The state government, yesterday, also issued an alert that the tunnel crossing, built under rail tracks and linking the busy Ogui Road to Garden avenues and other parts of the Government Reserved areas (GRA) was no longer safe, as it may collapse, especially during heavy downpour.

Also threatened is the newly established branch of the Redeemed Christian Church located on the area.

Meanwhile, the Ebeano Police Post, sitting at the foot of the tunnel and residents of Fidelity Estate, a new estate created under the immediate past administration of Sullivan Chime near the tunnel have been sacked, following the level of stagnation of water that has refused to recede in the last four days.
