Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, will tomorrow, at Saint Leo’s Catholic Church, Ikeja, Lagos, speak at a lecture, organised by the Knights of Saint Mulumba (KSM) Nigeria ahead of their 70th anniversary.
Making the disclosure, yesterday, in Lagos, the Supreme Knight, Dr. Charles Mbelede, told journalists that a series of activities had been lined up for the celebration of the organisation founded on June 14, 1953.
The celebrants are also to pay a visit to the founder’s birthplace in Ella, Delta State.
Theme of the anniversary is: “Appraising the past, redefining the present and reshaping the future.”
Mbelede, who fielded questions on national issues, charged Nigerians on blood donation, submitting that the bank was depleting.
Asked if clerics should arm themselves in the face of the insecurity in the country, the knight responded in the negative but urged the Federal Government to check arms proliferation, even as he advised Nigerians to register and pick up their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for the 2023 general elections.
