Oyo State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Mutiu Agboke, yesterday, said the commission had received a letter from the Accord Party (AP) for fresh primaries to be conducted to enable the party present candidates for the 2023 general elections.

Agboke, who stated this at a valedictory programme and media briefing held at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Oyo State office, said the party would be conducting the primaries owing to voluntary withdrawal of some certain individuals from the race.

He, therefore, urged all security agencies and political class to join hands with the commission to tackle the challenges of vote-buying at the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
