Vandrezzer FC have unveiled top Nigerian female disc jockey, Faith Uche Stevens, a.k.a ‘DJ Electra’ as one of the new brand ambassadors for the club.
The talented international ‘music mixer’ bagged a one-year endorsement deal with the Lions of Naija on July 4, 2022, as part of the club’s strategy of strengthening the entertainment arm of its fan experience.
“We believe that DJ Electra possesses what we look out for in an ambassador, she is talented in her craft, very hardworking and has shown massive passion for our vision” VFc COO Kingsley Ogbonna said on Monday.
On her part, Electra who is an alumnus of Academy of Women Entrepreneurs – AWE, a United States Government White House Initiative Program, expressed excitement at the gesture, and promised to repay what she describes as a ‘privilege’.
“I feel absolutely delighted! It’s a huge honour and privilege for me to be endorsed by this wonderful football club and I know we will achieve great things. I fell in love with the club from the first day I encountered them and since then, the love has grown in leaps and bounds. God willing, we shall be Victorious Together”, said DJ Electra.
DJ Electra would be the official disc jockey for activities of the Lagos Champions on match day and other activations in addition to being part of the fan engagement and publicity team of the club.
It is interesting to note that the dynamic disc jockey, is the first female DJ to graduate from the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs, AWE, program. DJ Electra happens to be the official DJ for the quintessential singer and Performing artiste, Mo’nike.
Faith Uche Stevens aka Dj Electra was born on January 25th, 1983 in Ile-iluji in Ondo State. She hails from Delta State Nigeria. She was taught the art of disc jockeying by a friend with Virtual DJ software in 2002.
In 2008, she was inspired to take to DJ professionally, when she witnessed how a DJ wowed the crowd at an event.
Her first professionally stint as a disc jockey was in 2009 at Pub One Lounge in Lekki Phase 1. Since then, she has been passionate with her job laced with hardwork and finesse, and working as resident DJs of Casamia restaurant/lounge, Bukkahut lounge and Shades lounge in Victoria island.
One of the high points of Dj Electra sterling career was when she featured in the award-winning movie, The Wedding Party produced by Kemi Adetiba, where she performed as the official Dj.
Currently the official DJ for Vandrezzer Football Club, Dj Electra plans to kick off a career in music officially and release her debut singles soon. She noted that 100% of proceeds cum royalties of her music downloads and streams will be donated to people suffering from epilepsy.
The amiable DJ said, she was giving to the cause as she also suffered from it and it affected furthering her education and dreams of becoming a lawyer but this didn’t debar her from impacting lives and inspiring people through music.
As part of her passion to add value to causes and firms, DJ Electra has also been announced as the official DJ for Ascend Studio Foundation by the President Dr Sarah Inya Lawal and also the A.W.E official
