Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, said the state government has in excess of 39, 000 workers and 23,484 retirees.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment, Eze Ugochukwu and obtained by The Guardian, yesterday, the data could be accessed from the state salaries and pensions payroll digital system, adding that opponents will continue to be proved wrong.
The statement said: “Uzodimma will continue to prove the naysayers wrong. Visit: HTTPS://Payroll. imostate.gov.ng,
https://Payroll.imostate.gov.ng to download the status of well over 39,000 staff and 23,484 pensioners in Imo.”
The statement informed that the governor achieved the feat in July.
“In July 2022, Uzodimma finally achieved the milestone of instant retirement to pension payment with zero time lag.”
The Guardian gathered that many persons had been asking for the exact figures available in the data base of the state government, accusing the state government of not paying, up -to- date, workers and retirees their salaries and pensions, respectively.
