
Besides that, Karaya and other aggrieved former APC members declared total support for the gubernatorial candidate of ADP, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.
The defection came during unveiling of the ADP governorship candidate, who is also a member representing Kano municipal Federal Constituency, at the House of Representatives.
Karaya, stressed that he decided to dump the former political party because of gross injustice displayed by the leadership of the party to him and his followers.
The former party chairman, who also served as commissioner under Ganduje’s government, declared readiness to mobilise support for Sharada’s victory in next year’s governorship election.
Declaring his ambition to join the race, Sharada explained that the motivation was born out of a passion to revitalise the social economic and development of the state.
The former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari regretted that bad and corrupt leadership has left the state backward, promising to restore its economic potential if voted in power next year.
Sharada specifically pledged to focus his strategic policy on an effective public health care system, quality education, industrial growth, and guaranteed local government autonomy.
Unveiling the ADP governorship candidate, the National Chairman of the party Alh. Sani Yusuf, applauded the support mobilise by the youth and women for the party.
Yusuf emphasised ADP has produced credible men of integrity as candidates for the party across various elective positions, assuring unprecedented performance in the 2023 general election.
