
The agency is acting on petitions written by 11 residents of the state.
In a statement signed by the OYACA Chairman, Justice Eni Esan (rtd), yesterday, and made available to journalists, the suspect, Mr Wahab Nasiru Olabanji, was alleged to have extorted a huge sum of money from the job seekers during the 2021 recruitment exercise at the State Hospital Management Board.
Esan said that the agency found that a prima facie case had been established against the said civil servant and the case file was referred to the office of the Attorney-General for prosecution in line with the provision of the OYACA Law, 2019.
In another development, the Oyo State Government has said it will soon commence rehabilitation work on the roads leading to Iyamapo, a 2,000 metres above sea level Hill in Igbeti town.
The state’s Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, gave the assurance during the World Tourism Day, celebrated on September 27, at Igbeti, headquarters of Olorunsogo Local Council.
He said that the Oyo State Government would invest in the tourism sector to attract local and international investors, who will in turn drive the state’s economic expansion drive.
Besides, he declared that Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration plans to harness the developmental benefits of the state’s mineral resources in Igbeti to expand the economy.
