IPOB Spokesman, Emma Powerful, in a statement, explained that there would be no sit-at-home observance in the South-east because Kanu would not physically appear in court.
According to Powerful, IPOB wishes to remind Biafrans, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom across the world that IPOB has not issued any sit-at-home order for tomorrow.
He said: “October 4 is a day IPOB is going to challenge Federal Government over the illegal abduction and extraordinary rendition of Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria on June 19, 2021.
“Tomorrow is his court date, but he is not physically appearing; therefore, there will be no sit-at-home.
“We want every Biafran, both at home and in the diaspora, to ignore rumours of Tuesday sit-at-home order; and those responsible for peddling such falsehood should stop it immediately as IPOB leadership has not authorised such order.
“IPOB is watching those with such mindsets, who suffer our people. They will regret their actions soon. Anybody, security personnel, civilian, religious leader, man, woman, including politicians, who, in anyway, contribute to human and material losses in the South East. They will pay dearly.”
Recall that sit-at-home orders were only observed on days Kanu will physically appear in court.
At tomorrow’s hearing of Kanu’s suit, which was filed by his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, at the Federal High Court Umuahia, Kanu will not be physically present, but represented by his Lawyers led by Ejimakor.
