Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Jigawa State has presented a budget proposal of N178.5 billion for 2023 fiscal year to the House of Assembly.
The ‘Budget of Consolidation for Sustainable Socio-economic Development’ is 10 per cent less than the 2022 budget.
According to him, funding for the proposed appropriation is envisaged to come from various sources, including state independent revenues, federal transfers, capital receipts and other financing items.
The governor said significant progress was recorded in the 2022 budget, with 70 per cent implementation.
