Troops kill suspected kidnappers

Troops of 33 Brigade Forward Operations Base, Burra in Bauchi State killed four suspected kidnappers on Monday.

According to a statement by the Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman in Abuja on Tuesday, the troops killed the suspects after they laid ambush for them following a tip off.

The incident happened at Sabon Kura village in Ningi Local Government Area of the state.

The kidnappers were said to be on their way to Diwwa village for kidnapping. Troops engaged them and after exchange of gunfire, four kidnappers were confirmed dead.

Three Dane guns, one cutlass, three handsets, some quantity of hard drugs, and local charms were recovered from them.
