The people of Niger State, within and outside, troop out in their numbers, yesterday, to welcome the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, for the flag off rally of the state APC presidential and governorship campaigns at the Trade Fair Complex in Minna, the state capital.
Tinubu, who was accompanied by his running mate, Kashim Shittimma, the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan; the host governor, Sani Bello, the state APC governorship candidate, Mohammed Bago; former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole as well as other governors and federal lawmakers.
Tinubu’s arrival at the venue was greeted with cheers and shouts of “We want Tinubu,’’ “We want you.”
Addressing the people, Tinubu enjoined them to come out en masse during elections to vote APC candidates across political positions; particularly, the governorship candidate, Bago, and Governor Bello, who is running for the Senate.
While flagging off the campaign, Tinubu and his team proceeded to the eastern bypass to commission the North Central Tinubu-Shetima Campaign Office in Minna, which houses a situation room for the 2023 general elections.
The Blueprint Newspaper Publisher, who is the Chairman, Strategic Communications of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Alhaji Mohammed Malagi, donated the APC presidential campaign office.
Malagi also donated operational vehicles and tricycles for the APC campaigns in the state.
