The group, in a statement, yesterday, in Abuja by its President-General, Terry Obieh, cautioned detractors and their sponsors against truncating policies recently introduced by the CBN.
According to Obieh, Niger Delta youths are watching with keen interest the outcome of the investigation by the DSS, which, they say, will determine their next action.
The statement reads: “We have discovered that since the implementation of the cashless policy and change of naira notes, a policy that doesn’t go well with a political class, they have been looking for means to discredit the hard-working and dedicated governor of CBN.
“Niger Delta youths hereby use this medium to caution the detractors and their sponsors and reiterate our unalloyed support for the CBN governor based on his transformative policies.
“We pass vote of confidence in him and he should be allowed to concentrate on tasks ahead. No level of pressure or blackmail should force the CBN governor to review the cashless policy. It has come to stay, the earlier the better, we will all get used to it.”
