Kwara State has started disbursing scholarship allowances to its students in the Nigerian Law School campuses across the country. The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Alabi Abolore, said the gesture remained an avenue for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to show his love for formal education and welfare of students.
He said, for accountability and transparency, the money would be paid directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries. Abolore, having appreciated the giant strides of the state government, assured that the list generated from the Nigerian Law School would help ensure that disbursement is carried out accordingly.
According to him, the ministry, in collaboration with the state’s scholarship board, will ensure that disbursement commences with immediate effect. In a related development, the state government congratulated Omotayo Dada, a Kwara citizen, for her brilliant performance to become the Overall Best Graduating Student at the Nigerian Law School.
