At the end of February 2020, GGPoker introduced the Sit&Go variant Spin & Gold. Before they start playing, players have to make two choices, namely which buy-in to play for and how many players the Spin & Gold tournament should have.
When the player has made his choices and there are enough players to start the Spin & Gold, a large wheel will appear. There are different amounts on it. These amounts start at a minimum of twice the buy-in at 3-max or four times the buy-in at 6-max. The amount to be won can be up to 200,000 times the deposit per player. However, the chance that the wheel ends on this amount is 1 in 10 million.
Buy-ins
The tournament will start automatically as soon as there are three or six registered players. Players have the choice in advance to determine which stake they want to play for and the number of opponents. The choice for the number of opponents cannot be made with every buy-in.

Spin & Gold insurance
Note: 44.32% of Spin & Golds are played for the amount just above the minimum prize pool. This is three times your stake at 3-max and six times your stake at 6-max. The chance that the wheel will not reach the lowest prize pool is always greater (53.51%). The chance of a prize pool larger than the lowest two outcomes is therefore only 9.19%.
Spin & Gold tournament
The tournament itself is quite simple. You start with three or six players and play until only one player is left. The number of paid places differs per game variant (3-max or 6-max) and depends on the prize pool.
The maximum number of paid places is six. That may sound strange, but it is a situation that is possible. When the wheel lands on the highest possible prize pool, all players get paid. The player who finishes sixth at 6-max, $1 buy-in with a prize pool of $200,000 gets even $5,000.
In the most common prize pools (the lowest two on the wheel), only one or two players are paid. At a six-player table, two players will be paid and at three players at the table, only the winner will be paid.
Spin & Gold: Gold Challenge
To make the game even more dynamic, players can take on a certain challenge: a Gold Challenge. Before taking on a Spin & Gold Challenge, players will be asked how long they plan to play Spin & Gold tournaments for. Players can choose from here:

Depending on the chosen playing time, the player can choose from different challenges. Each challenge requires a certain amount of gold coins to be collected by playing Spin & Gold tournaments. There are six different levels to choose from and each level requires a specific amount of gold coins. Each level has its own reward in the form of a cash-back. Players can get up to 80% cashback that way.
Gold coins for this Spin & Gold Challenge can be collected by finishing high in the tournaments. Players get gold coins at all times, but the higher you finish, the more coins you can unlock.
